Birthdate:Feb 7
Location:United States of America
I have a master's degree in educational psychology/student affairs administration . I received a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology (foci in sociocultural anthropology, racial and ethnic identity construction, Latin America, and post-conquest Maya).

I like good tea; I like good beer; I like good company; and, I like good bourbon, among other things. I like to read books, the occasional TV series, to spend time with friends and loved ones, and to experience new and exciting things.

I'm not particularly fond of going clubbing or dancing.

I have cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and a red belt in Tae Kwon Do; I'm in my mid twenties and I've never driven a motorized vehicle any significant distance.

That just about sums up me in a nutshell.

This journal is, by and large, about me. It's my soapbox on the internet to do with as I please. I don't write here to please anyone or to address any one particular topic. I might ramble about something related to Gnosticism and five minutes later grumble about something related to U.S. politics or gripe about a relationship.

I don't care if you agree with me or not or whether you hold views and ideas widely divergent from my own, feel free to comment anyhow. I like to challenge my perception of things, and I can't do that as well if I only hear from people who agree with me.

On Friending:

I don't particularly care if you friend me or not; I'm none too particular about that sort of thing. If you find the small glimpses into my day-to-do goings on interesting, then by all means feel free to click the little button to add me to your list.

I'm more than a little reclusive and more likely than not rather bashful and/or reserved. I don't generally run around the internet hoping to meet people, so please don't think too much about it if I don't friend you back or comment profusely on the entries in your journal. Chances are by the time I comment on your journal or friend you, I've probably read your journal for a week or more. I like to get a feel for people before I decide if I want to read them regularly.

If your journal has zero entries in it, I'm not likely to add you to my friends list. I like to get an idea of who the person behind the journal is before I allow them a glimpse into the few things I keep behind the curtain.

It's in vogue for employers, colleagues, and others to engage in a new kind of profiling: Googling a name and skimming the results. Does he drink too much? Does he have promiscuous sex? Does he eat too much pizza or smoke cigarettes? Perhaps I'm just a touch old fashioned, but my parents taught me to respect both privacy and personal freedom; because I was also taught to be discreet, my social life will likely not make the front page of any newspaper. If you've arrived here via a Google search, I'd appreciate it if you'd respect my privacy and refrain from prying; I have friends and family in many places: the things you can't see are for them, not for you.
